She is skilled at managing and coordinating large multidisciplinary consultant teams, and engaging multiple stakeholder groups to ensure project success from master planning through construction.

Greg is co-president and a principal at Wenk Associates with over 22 years of experience leading the firm’s urban design and campus projects. Many of Greg’s projects incorporate green infrastructure strategies that treat and manage stormwater runoff to enhance ecological, human, and economic value. As Lead Designer, Greg is invaluable in workshops and charrettes with his ability to communicate quickly and effectively in real time with hand sketches that bring ideas to life.

Greg is a professional landscape architect in the state of Colorado. He holds a Master of Landscape Architecture degree from the Harvard Graduate School of Design and a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture degree from the University of Georgia.

Bill Wenk is the founding principal of Wenk Associates. For over forty years, Bill has been influential in the restoration and redevelopment of urban river and stream corridors, the transformation of derelict urban land, and the design of public parks and open spaces. He is recognized nationally for utilizing stormwater as a resource.

Bill is a Fellow of the American Society of Landscape Architects. He holds a Master of Landscape Architecture degree from the University of Oregon and a Bachelor of Science degree in Landscape Architecture from Michigan State University.

Inspirations: the sophistication and power of “primitive” art, the beauty in our everyday world

J.C. has contributed to the success of Wenk for over 17 years managing the development of conceptual designs through construction on projects ranging in scale, complexity, and type including parks, trails, open space, campuses, plazas, infill developments, and green roofs.

J.C. is a professional landscape architect in the state of Colorado and is an accredited Green Roof Professional (GRP) with Green Roofs for Healthy Cities and sits on the technical advisory board for Denver’s Green Building Ordinance. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Landscape Architecture and Minor in Construction Management from Colorado State University.

Ty has been instrumental in the success of Wenk Associates for over 17 years providing project management and coordination on complex, multi-disciplinary projects including parks, open space, streets, and urban design for public and private clients. Ty serves as Wenk’s leader in Construction Administration having overseen the construction of many complex projects including Denver’s Confluence Park Shoemaker Plaza, and Arkins Park and Promenade.

Armed with knowledge in landscape design and passion for the built environment, Kristin guides Wenk Associates’ business development and marketing strategies and is intent to help develop the next generation of the firm.

Kristin holds her Master of Landscape Architecture degree from the University of Colorado at Denver and her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Graphic Design from the University of Notre Dame and .

Tyler is a senior landscape architect and project manager at Wenk Associates with over 17 years of professional experience that includes parks and open space, trails, urban design, and campus work. Tyler has the technical experience to bring projects from concept through to construction, ensuring that the design vision is materialized. In addition to his professional experience, Tyler has taught design courses at the University of Colorado at Denver, Rhode Island School of Design, and with URBANFRAME at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Tyler is a professional landscape architect in the state of Colorado and is LEED BD+C Certified. He holds a Master of Landscape Architecture degree from the Rhode Island School of Design and a Bachelor of Science degree in Landscape Architecture from Colorado State University.

Kelli is a senior landscape architect and project manager at Wenk Associates with 12 years of professional experience.  A Colorado native, Kelli grew up exploring the natural environment of Colorado and surrounding states, which cultivated her passion for both the natural and built environments, and the cultural influences that shape the spaces in which we live. Kelli brings nine years of experience in the planning, design, and construction of a wide range of projects including parks, open space, trails, campus, streetscapes, and urban design.

Bryan joined Wenk Associates in 2012 with a diversified portfolio including work experience both nationally and globally. Bryan brings fourteen years of experience across a broad range of project scales and types—master planning, resort, and hospitality, commercial and residential, which has equipped him with the technical capabilities to have a strong, well-rounded grasp on design. With every project, Bryan strives to develop creative site-specific design solutions that emphasize the uniqueness of each site.

Alex joined Wenk Associates in July 2019. Originally from Illinois, he brings to Wenk three years of experience working in the Midwest on a variety of projects at different scales. Themes in Alex’s work have included combining ecological habitat with programmatic use, transforming public gathering spaces, and strengthening urban connections. Alex has a strong foundation in 3D modeling and digital design that allows him to create dynamic graphic renderings to communicate and visualize design ideas and concepts for our clients.

Alex holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Landscape Architecture from The Ohio State University.

Inspirations: Rich textures, flowing streams, DIY culture

Sarah joined Wenk Associates in March 2021. Her interest in landscape architecture stems from her experiences leading youth through Rocky Mountain National Park where the power of nature inspired daily activities connecting kids to nature and teaching resiliency. As a designer, Sarah aims to push the public realm to be more engaging, connected and foster stronger communities. Her previous research has focused on how urban environments can better support children’s cognitive and emotional development. She brings youth and community engagement skills to the firm that she developed through her experiences working at public, private, and research organizations and as a graduate student.

Sarah holds a Master of Landscape Architecture degree from the University of Washington and a Bachelor of Environmental Design degree in Urban Planning from the University of Colorado Boulder.

Originally from southern Indiana, Will’s interest in Landscape Architecture was grown during extensive travel both abroad and regionally. Will learned to value the importance of creating memorable spaces that grant strong identity and pride in the cities we live in. As a designer he believes progressive place-making design can be both inspirational and pragmatic. He employs a foundation of graphic visualization skills, background of plant knowledge, and passion for community to foster multi-faceted spaces that are both socially and environmentally equitable.

Will holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Landscape Architecture and a Minor in Global Environmental Sustainability from Colorado State University.

Laurie Fickling joined Wenk Associates in 2016. After several years working in Denver, Laurie decided to move back to her hometown of Macon, Georgia, and now works for the firm remotely. We couldn’t let her go! Laurie brings 12 years of professional landscape architectural experience in the design of parks, streetscapes, urban plazas, waterfront parks, rooftop gardens, and mixed-use developments. She has worked from site analysis and conceptual design to construction observation and substantial completion on many large- and small-scale projects for the firm.

Laurie is a professional landscape architect in the state of Georgia. She holds a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture degree from the University of Georgia.

Upon graduating with a Masters of Landscape Architecture, Alex joined the Wenk Associates team in 2022. Along with his appreciation for evocative spaces, he brings with him a diverse set of experiences that enhance his design: his work on the family farm in the beauty of Vermont; his love for language which appears in multiple publications; and his international debate career which polished his communication skills. Designing public spaces with a focus on water, climate change, and respite motivates and inspires him. He believes ‘what we do to our space, we do to ourselves’.  

Alex holds a Master of Landscape Architecture degree from the University of Colorado at Denver. He also graduated with honors from the University of Vermont with a degree in English Language and Letters.

Jennifer joined Wenk Associates in July 2022. Her interests in natural systems and urban design, and lifelong exploration of mountainscapes and raw environments throughout the West Coast (and now Colorado!), have instilled a desire to protect and integrate Earth’s ecological systems with human worlds. She has focused on regenerative environments and industrial ecology and is passionate about creating healthy environments to support the wellbeing of all species. The Persian poet Rūmī aptly summarizes her life’s goal of loving through design: “Let the beauty we love be what we do.”

Jennifer holds her Bachelor of Architecture degree with a minor in Sustainable Environments from California Polytechnic State University San Luis Obispo.

With nine years of experience in the landscape architecture industry, Ace has established himself as a skilled and knowledgeable professional. His passion for creating beautiful and functional outdoor spaces has driven him to deliver exceptional results for his clients consistently.   

Ace graduated with a degree in Landscape Architecture from Louisiana State University and began his career working for top firms in the industry. He has since honed his skills in project management, site analysis, modeling, design, and documentation. His portfolio has a wide range of project types from parks, streetscapes, to roof terraces. He is keenly interested in campus development and planning, working on campuses nationwide. In addition to his technical skills, Ace is known for his excellent communication and interpersonal skills. He is a team player who is always willing to collaborate and listen to clients' needs and preferences. 

Overall, Ace is a dedicated and experienced landscape architect committed to delivering high-quality designs that enhance the beauty and functionality of outdoor spaces.

Thea joined Wenk Associates in the spring of 2023. As an Italian architect, Thea brings a broad background of experience and culture to the firm. A passion for land and environmental issues prompted Thea’s shift from building to landscape architecture. Her graduate work and study focused on sustainability, remediation, urban climate, biodiversity, and solar parks. Some of this work was published in Italian magazines and featured in a book on climate-responsive urban design.

Thea graduated with honors from the Polytechnic University of Milan with a Master in Sustainable Architecture and Landscape Design degree. She studied for her Master’s in Conceptual Architecture at the Amsterdam Academy of Architecture AHK and her Bachelor's of Architecture and Restoration from the Mediterranean University of Reggio Calabria.

Bo joined Wenk Associates in 2024. They bring a background in ecological design and climate resilience planning though work with private, municipal, and non-profit clients across a range of scales. Bo has a passion for designing with native and novel plant communities and has enjoyed working in productive landscapes including agriculture, culinary gardens, and edible landscaping.

Bo holds a Master of Landscape Architecture degree and Master of Regional Planning degree from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, a Master of Science degree in Ecological Design and Planning from The Conway School, and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Hamilton College.

Claire joined Wenk Associates in June 2024. Her interest in landscape architecture stems from her time as an undergraduate working for a non-profit that helped restore green space in underserved communities. Through this experience she recognized the importance of public green space in creating healthy communities for all living things. Claire brings experience on a broad range of project types from botanic gardens to affordable housing with a design ethos that what’s best for the environment is also what’s best for people. She has a passion for designing spaces that integrate with and bring people closer to natural systems.

Claire holds a Master of Landscape Architecture degree from the University of Colorado Denver and a Bachelor of Science in Sustainable Built Environments from the University of Arizona.

Inspirations: textiles, western landscapes, long walks with no destination in mind

Emily joined Wenk Associates in July 2024 after graduating with her Master of Landscape Architecture degree from Kansas State University. Her graduate research focused on perceptions of children’s access and contact with nature in low-income communities of Kansas City, Missouri. Her research findings informed place-based solutions for incorporating a variety of nature engagement and play spaces for children within the study area which were shared to the participating elementary school and families.

Emily has had a diversity of experiences from two internships in North Carolina and Texas, where she was involved in a variety of project types including retail, residential, mixed-use, commercial, and hospitality. She is passionate about creating artful, equitable, and environmentally sustainable greenspaces that serve the local communities and support ecosystems.

Nick joined Wenk Associates in June 2024. He’s a designer with a background spanning landscape architecture, web design, and editorial cartooning. As a landscape designer, Nick’s ultimate goal is to inspire conservation and an appreciation of nature through his work. He’s passionate about creating lasting, unique spaces that are fine-tuned towards serving the communities they encompass—trusting that good research and community engagement lead to great designs, which in turn fosters stronger bonds between people and nature.

Nick earned his Bachelor of Landscape Architecture degree from Washington State University and has certifications in user experience design and research.

Lisa loves engaging communities in decision-making processes that positively impact their lives. As the former owner of a public engagement firm, and through many professional and volunteer projects throughout Colorado, Lisa has over 35 years of experience working with local governments, elected officials, neighborhoods, businesses, and non-profit organizations. 

Lisa holds a BS in journalism and public relations from CU Boulder and an MBA from CU Denver. Lisa’s professional work developing business plans for nonprofit organizations and running her own consulting firm for nearly 15 years reflects a passion for helping organizations proactively plan for their future health and growth.

As Wenk Associates’ Business Manager, Charmaine has found an inspiring balance combining more than three decades of business and management experience in a variety of industries with her love of design, nature, and collaboration. With experience in financial reporting, budgeting, training, compliance, project management, contract negotiations and human resources, she is committed to expanding her knowledge in the AEC industry. She takes pride in being a detailed oriented, innovative, problem solver and loves working with and learning from others.
